Hugh, Chris, Keith and I paddled the Tay on Saturday. Durham water level was 19.4m. We were crossing the north Tay heading to the south when I remarked the north Tay actually looked high enough. We all agreed to give it a try. It is steeper with sharper turns than the south. There were no sweepers completely blocking the river. A few trees were leaning across the river but we managed to find our way through. There is a nice set of drops on the last turn before joining the south. It was probably the highest I have ever done the Tay. Nice way to start the year.

Thanks for the post Mitchell. I'd like to hopefully get down the Tay tomorrow (April 9, 2016) so this report is very helpful.
