Canoed the Hammond R. from the Hillsdale Bridge to the Smithtown Bridge in 5 hours of good paddling, about 33km. Water was deep and fast. Water gauge at Apohaqui on the Kennebecasis R. was about 9.7. It's definitely best to hit this river after a good rain, and the waterlevels respond quickly.

Yes have tried that one twice, Silver Hill is a popular spot to stop when out on the street bike. The first time the gf & I put in at Silver Hill & drug the kayaks most of the way to Barnsville, she was not happy the water didn't get any deeper like I had hoped. I did it again in May of last year when the water was higher, about 33 km from Silver Hill to the deep hole at the end of stockfarm rd in near 5 hours with a few stops. Attachments:

cosmo.... what did you use to make that map? gps? google? I'm looking for a good online resource that will show km's on the rivers...not roads.

It's an app called endomondo. Uses lots of battery on your phone but works without signal, great for the woods.
