2 Days 1 canoe, nearly forzen to death, next time down bags. We paddled to the river mouth from the boat landing. Storm winds so decided to stay in the Basin and camped around point. This has got to be the coldest May on record! Saw a large group of canoes be driven in as we came out.

We put in at the basin which is called RUtherford's COve on older maps. You go up the Peltoma Lake road past Little Lake and it is the first right with a sign saying boat landing. The ATVers have got the road pretty well wrecked so you will need a 4 wheel drive. Once to get to the boat landing paddle North (right) around the point, a great big white rock stands at the start of the river. Scout first because it can be quite a rapid depending on water depth.
