Mitchell and I made it down the Magaguadavic in the long weekend. Not a bad trip with a few good rapids and ledges to go over. Far too much flat water though in between. Put in at Brockway Bridge. Take out was second falls bridge. few pics here: good-times.webshots.com/album/563494518jkOpgYJamie

That's what I found five years ago, when I ran from the lake to Second Falls. The day-long deadwaters were not worth the rapids.

I've added some pictures as well. mitchellamos.spaces.live.com/We got an early start so we were able to avoid the big crowds. Plenty of people enjoying their camps this weekend. The section from Pomeroy bridge to the take out on the 770 would be worth while exploring in higher water. Some of those rips would certianly be more interesting with a few more feet of water.

Nice photos! Looks like a great trip, wish I could have made it. I take it neither of you bothered with a tent - just a tarp. Pretty brave for all the rain forecasted :-)!

Very nice pictures, both of you. It's neat to see this river with rocks sticking out. When we kayaked it in April I didn't even see any when I was upside down. Mitchell, do you think the upper Nashwaak will be too low to run the Narrows next weekend? Derek

Derek,
It is too low right now at these water levels. I would say you should have around 19.2 or higher on the guage in Durham. A couple heavy rains would bring it right back up so just keep checking the guage.
